Join us for the Annual Battlegreen Run LexSEPAC / SEPTA fundraiser. This is a virtual event with a week to complete the run between 10/25-11/1/20. Register here and look for "SEPTA" (our team name).
Last year we had a team of 10 parents and special education staff who raised $2000 in total -- please help us break the record this year! All proceeds from the race directly support LexSEPAC / SEPTA.
For every person who registers for our team, The Battlegreen Run Foundation will increase the amount they are able to provide our organization at the end of the run. Even if you can't raise funds, being part of our team still helps! Alternatively, if you choose not to walk or run, you can still make a donation to LexSEPAC / SEPTA on behalf of our team.
The Lexington SEPAC is the Special Education Parent Advisory Council. All school districts are required by law to have a parent advisory council to advise the public schools on the education and safety of students with disabilities. School officials are mandated to meet regularly with SEPAC parent representatives to participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of school programs. The LexSEPTA, the Lexington Special Education PTA, supports LexSEPAC, offering parents a way of connecting with one another, valuable speaker events and workshops, and also social gatherings with other parents, the school committee, and more. LexSEPTA is a 501(c) volunteer-run organization.
