This is a workshop for parents and guardians of Preschool - 5th graders who want to gain insight on how their child learns how to read and the evidence-based instruction and interventions that all children need to ensure they become skilled and proficient readers. Whether your child is just starting to learn how to read, or is in later elementary grades, join us for an informative and engaging workshop for parents.

Presented by Sarah Gannon, M.Ed, Educational Consultant at Crafting Minds 

Sarah Gannon has worked as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and literacy coach for the past 18 years. Sarah bridges her knowledge of the body of research, known as the Science of Reading, to the practical application in the classroom. Her knowledge of multi-sensory methods and interventions for students struggling with aspects of reading help teachers plan targeted Tier 2 interventions to address weaknesses in decoding, fluency, and comprehension. Sarah is certified at the Associates Level in Orton Gillingham.
